NTZDC was today privileged to host the Cabinet Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries Hon Mithika Linturi, and Hon. Dr. John Mutunga, Chairman Parliamentary Committee on Agriculture, at its Gatitu Tea Factory in Kirinyaga County. The CS was impressed by the Corporation’s processing facility, underscoring the value addition of agricultural produce as the ministry’s policy in a bid to increase earnings for farmers. CS Linturi commended the Corporation for efficiently running Gatitu factory, citing the facility as a benchmark for manufacturing and value addition in his ministry. He thanked the Board Chairman, Managing Director, and staff for a job well done and urged them to keep up the high standards. On his part, Hon. Dr. Mutunga noted that the Corporation was running a profitable venture, funding its operations, and paying dividends to the exchequer while providing employment opportunities for Kenyans.
